The Way of Slaves<\/h2>\n

Politicians living a life of opulence<\/p>\n

paid for by other men’s dreams,<\/p>\n

add to the lexicon of humanity’s suffering<\/p>\n

weaving their selfish grandiose schemes.<\/p>\n

Abusing privileges, grasping at wealth<\/p>\n

egos blown like a hot air balloon,<\/p>\n

preaching our poverty will bring<\/p>\n

prosperity for all———-soon.<\/p>\n

We tighten our belt another notch<\/p>\n

accepting a beggarly slice of the cake,<\/p>\n

while they bask in a cherry orchard<\/p>\n

surrounded by a fine wine lake.<\/p>\n

Pouring words, grand posturing,<\/p>\n

as they unveil their latest plan,<\/p>\n

assuring they live in luxury<\/p>\n

while we struggle as best we can.<\/p>\n

Poverty’s the price for allowing<\/p>\n

others to plan our days,<\/p>\n

when will we finally grasp<\/p>\n

this is the way of slaves.<\/p>\n

Let’s Make That Stand<\/h2>\n

Come rise with me<\/p>\n

here, take my hand<\/p>\n

it’s time my brothers<\/p>\n

to make that stand,\/p><\/p>\n

we’ve bought this world\/p><\/p>\n

with blood and tears<\/p>\n

shed by our kin<\/p>\n

through countless years.<\/p>\n

Put an end to war<\/p>\n

it’s time for peace<\/p>\n

man killing man<\/p>\n

has to cease.<\/p>\n

No more poverty<\/p>\n

in a sea of wealth<\/p>\n

all men equal<\/p>\n

in a new commonwealth.<\/p>\n

Let’s never again kneel<\/p>\n

let’s stand up tall<\/p>\n

claim what’s ours<\/p>\n

justice for all.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Now<\/h2>\n

No time to theorise the market economy<\/p>\n

no time to mark out the nations boundary<\/p>\n

injustice is now.<\/p>\n

No time to measure the moon with a measuring tape<\/p>\n

no time to catalogue the deeds of the great<\/p>\n

injustice is now.<\/p>\n

No time to worship purloined power<\/p>\n

no time to kneel at the ivory tower<\/p>\n

hunger is now.<\/p>\n

No time to let illusions swamp the mind<\/p>\n

no time to be lead like a host of blind<\/p>\n

hunger is now.<\/p>\n

It’s time to cast your silence to the ground<\/p>\n

it’s time to use actions your anger found<\/p>\n

freedom can be now.<\/p>\n

It’s time to hold fast to your heart’s dictate<\/p>\n

it’s time to rise in anger against the state<\/p>\n
